Windage Tray (crankshaft deflector) creates a screen between the sump and the crankshaft, preventing the oil from foaming from drops flying from the crankshaft at high speeds, this contributes to the fact that air bubbles do not get into the oil receiver, due to which there may be a drop in pressure in the system and increased wear of friction pairs, in addition, at high speeds, the plate does not allow lubricant flying from the sump to the crankshaft, create additional resistance to the rotation of the latter, thereby increasing the power of the engine.
